Facilitates knowledge-sharing platforms where implementing institutions and regional/municipal administrations can exchange best practices regarding the action plan’s execution.
Identifies and recommends incentives for institutions with outstanding human rights performance.
Conducts an overall evaluation of the action plan at the end of its implementation period to assess its effectiveness.
Coordinates the preparation of the next national human rights action plan based on guidance from the National Coordinating Board.
Executes additional tasks as assigned by the department head following directives from the National Coordinating Board.
Conducts regular and ad-hoc visits to police stations and correctional facilities to monitor detainee conditions, ensuring their detention aligns with legal standards and addressing human rights violations.
Investigates human rights complaints received from concerned bodies, conducts preliminary inquiries, and recommends criminal investigations if violations are confirmed. It also monitors the process of corrective actions.
Establishes a system for monitoring and supporting human rights protection efforts within legal institutions, ensuring periodic reporting and submission of findings to higher authorities.
Reports identified human rights violations to the Ministry of Justice and relevant correctional and police authorities, while also organizing discussions to address systemic issues.
Provides training to police officers, judges, prosecutors, and prison officials on human rights violations within the criminal justice system, in collaboration with the Human Rights Awareness, Training, and Advocacy Directorate and other institutions.
Works with organizations focusing on women, children, and vulnerable groups to address human rights violations against these groups, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are taken.
