Belayihun Yirga Kifile has been serving as State Minister for Government’s Legal and Justice Division of the Ministry of Justice since 5th December 2023. Before his appointment to his current position, he served as a Senior policy and Legal Advisor at national Digital ID project office of prime minister office of Ethiopia from 7th August 2022 to 4th December 2023.
Belayihun Yirga has also served as a Director General, Team Coordinator and Public Prosecutor of Legal Studies, Drafting and Consolidation Directorate General as well as Junior Public Prosecutor of the Branch Office under the Ministry of Justice from 10th November 2009 to 7th August 2022. With his 15+ years of experience in the justice sector, Belayihun Yirga is ever committed to continuing to contribute to the respect of the rule of law and for justice to prevail in Ethiopia.
