WHEREAS, the fifth meeting of the conference of the parties to the Basel Convention, held on 10th December, 2000, Adopted the Protocol on Liability and Compensation Damage Resulting from Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and Their Disposal;
WHEREAS, the House of Peoples’ Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia ratified the Basel Protocol at its session held on the 3rd day of July, 2003;
NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55(1) (12) of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia it is hereby Proclaimed as follows:
