WHEREAS, the Agreement on the Reciprocal Encouragement and Protection of Investment between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Government of the Republic of France was signed in Paris on 25 June 2003;

WHEREAS, it is stipulated in the Agreement that it shall enter into force on the date of exchange of instruments of ratification through diplomatic channels;

WHEREAS, the House of Peoples’ Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified the said Agreement at its session held on the 15th day of June, 2004;

NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55 Sub-Articles (1) and (12) of the Constitution, it is hereby proclaimed as follows:
