The Crimes against Women and Children Prosecution Directorate is a department of Ministry under Attorney General Division. Major responsibilities of the Directorate include; leading and supervising criminal investigation committed against life, person and health, personal liberty and morals of women and/or children based on their gender or age vulnerability including Sexual and Gender Based Violence and trafficking of women and children, ensuring that investigations of such crimes are conducted in accordance with the law, bringing criminal charges before courts of law and handling litigation of aforementioned crimes, as well as monitoring and supporting branch offices in the implementation of the aforementioned duties.
