WHEREAS, it has become necessary to amend the Ethiopian Aviation Security Proclamation No. 432/2004 to incorporate International Civil Aviation Organization Annex 17 standards; to enhance the capacity of the aviation security sector with modern technology; and to provide additional powers and functions to counter the ever increasing threats of unlawful acts against the safety, regularity and efficiency of civil aviation; NOW THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55 Sub Article (1) of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, it is hereby proclaimed as follows.
