WHEREAS, an Agreement, on the promotion and Reciprocal protection of Investments, between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Government of the Russian Federation; was signed in Moscow, on the 10th day of February, 2000;

WHEREAS, it is stipulated in the Agreement that the Agreement shall enter into force on the date of exchange of instruments of ratification through diplomatic channel;

WHEREAS, the House of Peoples’ Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified said Agreement at its session held on the 6th day of July, 2000;

NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55 (1) and (12) of the Constitution, it is hereby proclaimed as follows:
