WHEREAS, Ethiopia is one of the parties to the ACP- EU Partnership Agreement signed in Cotonou, on the 23rd day of June 2000;

WHEREAS, it is stipulated in the Agreement that the Agreement shall enter into force on the first day of the second month following the date of deposit of the instruments of ratification of the Member States and of at least two-thirds of the ACP States;

WHEREAS, the House of Peoples’ Representatives has ratified said Agreement at its session held on the 28th day of June, 2001;

NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55 (1) and (12) of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, it is hereby proclaimed as follows:
