International Cooperation on Legal Affairs Directorate is one of the departments established under the FDRE Ministry of Justice Government Legal and Justice Service Division. Its major mandates include: undertaking international relations and cooperation in criminal and civil matters; prepare, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, national periodic reports on the implementation of international or regional human rights treaties ratified or adopted by Ethiopia; give reply to concerns raised in connection with human rights implementations; take part in bilateral and multilateral forums concerning legal matters; prepares draft bilateral treaties on legal matters, comment on such treaties prepared by others, negotiate on the same and undertake related activities;
