WHEREAS, the Third Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of States and Governments of the African Union has, at its session held in Addis Ababa on 8 July 2004 adopted the Protocol to the OAU Convention on the Prevention and Combating of Terrorism;
WHEREAS, Ethiopia has signed the Protocol on 28 December 2007;
WHEREAS, the House of Peoples’ Representative of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified the Convention at its session held on 25th day of November, 2008;
NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55 sub article (1) and (12) of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia it is hereby proclaimed as follows:
