WHEREAS, the African Union Adopted the Protocol to the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights on the Rights of Older Persons in Africa during the 26th Ordinary Summit of the Heads of States and Governments held on 31 January 2016 in Addis Ababa;
WHEREAS, the House of Peoples’ Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified the said Agreement at its session held on the 13th day of February , 2020;
NOW, THERERORE, in accordance with Article 55 (1) and (12) of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, it is hereby proclaimed as follows:
