WHEREAS, the Heads of State and Government of the African Union meeting in their Six ordinary Session in Khartoum, the Republic of The Sudan from 23rd to 24th January 2006, adopted the Charter for the Cultural Renaissance of Africa;
WHEREAS, the House of Peoples’ Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified said Charter at its session held on the 9th day of June, 2011;
NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55 (1) and (12) of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, it is hereby proclaimed as follows:
