The Corruption Crimes Prosecution Directorate General is a Department of the Ministry under the Attorney General Division. Its primary duty is to execute Anti-Corruption Laws through leading criminal investigation, prosecution and litigation of corruption offences committed in federal institutions and city administrations responsible to the Federal Government. Major responsibilities of the Directorate General include; leading and overseeing investigations of corruption crime, prosecuting and litigating corruption crimes before courts of law, ensuring that corruption investigations are conducted in accordance with the law, and providing legal opinions on matters related to corruption. The Department focuses on grand corruption offences committed in contravention of Proclamation No. 881/2015 making sure that corruption is not profitable enterprise.
