WHEREAS, Member States of the African Union, recognizing that the creation of an African Center for Fertilizer Development would contribute to the prevention of drought and famine and to the improvement of agricultural production, decided to establish the African Center for Fertilizer Development at Harare Zimbabwe, on 2nd June 2006.
WHEREAS, Ethiopia has signed the Convention on 28 December 2007;
WHEREAS, the House of Peoples’ Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified the Convention at its session held on the 6th day of November, 2008;
NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55 sub article (1) and (12) of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia it is hereby proclaimed as follows:
