WHEREAS, the assembly of Head of States of the Organization of the African Unity has, at the 37th Ordinary Session held at Lusaka (Zambia) on 11 July 2001, approved the Convention of the African Energy Commission;
WHEREAS, the House of Peoples’ Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified the Convention at its session held on 6th November, 2008;
NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55 sub article (1) and (12) of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia it is hereby proclaimed as follows:
