ደህንነቱ ያልተጠበቀ የምግብ ጭማሪ አጠቃቀም ከሚያስከትለው የጤና አደጋዎች ህብረተሰቡን መጠበቅ አስፈላጊ በመሆኑ፤

ያልተፈቀደ የምግብ ጭማሪዎችን የሚደነገግ እና ያልተፈቀዱትን ገበያ ሊይ እንዳይል መከላከል አስፈላጊ በመሆኑ፤

በምግብ ውስጥ የሕዝብ ጤና አደገኛ የሆኑና የተከከሉ የምግብ ጭማሪዎች እንዲይኖሩ ወይም ከሚፈቀደው የምግብ ጭማሪዎች መጠን በላይ በምግብ ውስጥ መጠቀምን የሚገለጽ መስፈርት ማውጣት አስፈላጊ በመሆኑ፤

በምግብና መድኃኒት አስተዳደር አዋጅ ቁጥር 1112/2011 አንቀጽ 71(2) መሠረት ይህ መመሪያ ወጥቷል።

WHEREAS, it is necessary to protect the public from health risks emerging out of unsafe food additive use;

WHEREAS, it is necessary to restrict the permitted food additives and toprohibit unpermitted food additives placing on the market;

WHEREAS, it is necessary to restrict the presence of unauthorized food additives or quantity of restricted food additives use in food that are risky to the public health;

THEREFORE, this directive is issued in accordance with Article 71 (2) of the Food and Medicine Administration Proclamation No 1112/2019.
