Our country, Ethiopia, has been designing policies and carrying out various activities to ensure fair access to education for its citizens. These include community schools for Ethiopians living abroad, community schools for foreigners in Ethiopia, schools established by foreign investors, and international schools. The work done to ensure equitable access to education by providing the necessary support for establishing schools is a demonstration.
Therefore, parents and stakeholders of students learning in these schools need to be closely involved with the school to ensure that there is an appropriate teaching and learning process;
It is believed that the participation of parents, students, teachers, and stakeholders in the learning and teaching process has a significant role in having a healthy and fair learning and teaching process, and because of the need to establish a system to guide this work;
To enable parents, students, teachers, and stakeholders to participate in the teaching and learning process and to solve the problems that occur during the teaching and learning process, according to Proclamation No.1263/2014, Article 19(4), the Federal Ministry of Education General Education Sector Schools has issued this directive for the organization of the Parent Student Teacher Union.
