WHEREAS, the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity has adopted the Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of the Benefits Arising from their Utilization at its tenth meeting held on 29 October 2010, in Nagoya, Japan;
WHEREAS, the House of Peoples’ Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified said Protocol at its session held on the 28th day of June 2012;
NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with sub-article (1) and (12) of Article 55 of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, it is hereby proclaimed as follows:
