WHEREAS, it is found essential that Ethiopia ratify the Convention on the Means of Prohibiting and Preventing the Illicit Import, Export and Transfer of Ownership of Cultural Property signed at Paris on the 14th day of November 1970;
WHEREAS, the said convention is found to be of paramount importance in protecting Ethiopian Cultural Heritage;
WHEREAS, the House of Peoples’ Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified said convention at its session held on the 28th day of October, 2003;
NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55 Sub-Articles (1) and (12) of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, it is hereby proclaimed as follows:
