WHEREAS, the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International sale of goods was adopted on 11th April 1980;

WHEREAS, ratifying the Convention enhances domestic traders’ engagement in contracts for the international sale of goods;

WHEREAS, the House of Peoples’ Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified the said Agreement at its session held on 25th day of June, 2020;

NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55 (12) of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, it is hereby proclaimed as follows.
