WHEREAS, it is necessary to upsurge the media sectors to make them fit in the country’s context, and catch up with the advancement of electronic media;
With the conviction that the Ethiopian Press Agency would be effective if it engages in the multimedia sector in addition to the print media as the electronic media sector is advancing globally and the measure would create additional capacity for our country;
WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary to amend the Ethiopian Press Agency’s Reestablishment Proclamation aligning the provision with respect to procurement and financial system with the Agency’s objective and mission;
NOW,THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55 (1) of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia it is hereby proclaimed as follows:
