WHEREAS, an Agreement on Trade between the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Government of Malaysia was signed in Kuala Lumpur on the 22nd day of October, 1998;

WHEREAS, it is stipulated in the Agreement that the Agreement shall enter into force when both contracting parties have signed the same and notified each other that all legal requirements for its entry into force have been fulfilled;

WHEREAS, the House of Peoples’ Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified said Agreement at its session held on the 4th day of March, 1999;

NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55 sub-Articles (1) and (12) of the Constitution, it is hereby proclaimed as follows:
