The Regional Affairs Monitoring and Support Directorate is a department under the Institution Building and Reform Division. Thought it’s the authority of the Ministry of Justice to lead the investigation of criminal cases committed in regional states and to make appropriate arguments by filing charges, as well as to enforce the federal government’s civil justice interest in the states, the work is being carried out by the regional justice offices through delegation of authority.
Based on this, the directorate plans the activities of the department based on the plan of the institution and the sector, monitors their performance, follows up on delegated issues and provides budget support for implementation; Creates working relationships with institutions and departments that contribute to the work; conducts legal audit and supervision on the decisions of the prosecutor; based on the findings, it makes a proposal for the necessary adjustments to be made, it monitors its implementation; facilitates the preparation of joint conference platforms of the Ministry of Justice and regional justice offices to strengthen coordination; identifies the need for training to ensure the consistency and effectiveness of decision-making, provides training with relevant parties, organizes best practices through experience exchange, receives and handles petitions and complaints, and oversees appeals in the Federal Supreme Court, through delegation.
