Abrham Ayalew is currently serving as a Head of a statutory department called the Secretariat National Partnership Coalition for Migration since October 2022.
Under his leadership, the Secretariat is now focusing on strategic interventions so that it can effectively coordinate and support the NPC and its member agencies. Particularly, it has been focusing on policy and legal reforms, strengthening the NPC’s structure, strengthening migration mainstreaming in all sectors with strong accountability system. Moreover, the department is working to support regional states and strengthening the development of disaggregated databases in the area of migration. Before he assumed his current office, Abrham was serving as a lead prosecutor for grave human right violations and war crimes flowing the Northern Conflict. He was also the Advisor for the State Minister, Ministry pf Justice.
With those huge experiences of more than 10 years in the Ministry, Abrham remains committed to strengthen the migration governance of the country.
