Whereas the Council of Ministers has approved on 4th day of August, 2023 a State of Emergency Proclamation to Protect Public Peace and Security Proclamation No. 6/2023;

Whereas, based on Article 93 Sub-Article (2)(b) of the Constitution, the State of Emergency Proclamation decreed by the Council of Ministers shall be presented to the House of Peoples’ Representatives within fifteen days;

Whereas the House of Peoples’ Representatives has ratified this Proclamation based on Article 93 Sub-Article (3) of the Constitution, on its 1st extraordinary session held on the 14th day of August, 2023;

Now, therefore, in accordance with Article 93 Sub-Article (2)(a) and Article 55 Sub-Article (8) of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, it is hereby proclaimed as follows.
