WHEREAS, a loan agreement, between the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Export-Import Bank of China stipulating that the Export-Import Bank of China provide to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia a loan in an amount not exceeding USD 249,323,075.34 (Two Hundred Forty-Nine Million Three Hundred Twenty-Three Thousand Seventy-Five and Thirty-Four United States Dollars) for financing the Genale Dawa III-Yirgalem II-Wolayita Sodo II-Hawassa II Power Transmission Project was signed in Beijing on the 27th of December 2016;
WHEREAS, the House of Peoples’ Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified said loan agreement at its session held on the 7th day of February 2017;
NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55(1) and (12) of the Constitution, it is hereby proclaimed as follows:
