WHEREAS, the Agreement for the Conservation of African-Eurasian Migratory Water Bird Agreement signed in Haig Netherlands on June 16/1995 was came in to force on November 1, 1999;

WHEREAS, pursuant to Article 13(3) of the Agreement after November 1, 1999 states may become parties to the Agreement by accession;

WHEREAS, the agreement is found to have paramount importance in conserving the migratory water bird species through cooperation of member states;

WHEREAS, the House of peoples’ Representa- tives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified the said Agreement at its session held on the 4th day of June, 2009;

NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55 sub-article (1) and (12) of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia it is hereby proclaimed as follows:
