WHEREAS, it is found necessary to amend the proclamation to make the Electoral Law of Ethiopia conform with the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, with a view to enhancing the opportunity to stand for election in respect of citizens engaged in government employment;
NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55 (1) and (2) (d) of the Constitution, it is hereby proclaimed as follows:
