WHEREAS, International Treaty on plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture which has been adopted at the Thirty-first Conference of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations on the 3rd of November, 2001, has been signed by Ethiopia;
WHEREAS, House of Peoples’ Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified said Treaty;
NOW, THEREFORE in accordance with Article 55 (1) and (12) of the constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, it is hereby proclaimed as follows:
