WHEREAS, the Agreement on the Promotion and Reciprocal Protection of Investments between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Kingdom of Spain was signed in Madrid on 17 March 2009;
WHEREAS, it is stipulated in the Agreement that it shall enter into force 30 days after the date of exchange of instruments of ratification through diplomatic channels and receipt of the last notification letter;
WHEREAS, the House of peoples’ Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified the said Agreement at its session held on the 30th day of June, 2009;
NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55 sub articles (1) and (12) of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia it is hereby proclaimed as follows:
