WHEREAS, it is found necessary to establish a government body which is responsible to implement or follow up the implementation of national laws governing intellectual property as well as to build the necessary capacity to render efficient and effective services;
NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, it is hereby proclaimed as follows:
