WHEREAS, anti-personnel mines are causing heavy damage to mankind;
WHEREAS, Ethiopia is strongly committed for the. peace and security of mankind;
WHEREAS, the Convention on the Prohibition of the Use, Stockpiling, Production and Transfer of Anti-personnel Mines and on their Destruction assists the efforts to minimize the damages being caused by anti-personnel mines;
WHEREAS, the House of Peoples Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has rarified the said Convention at its session held on 11th day of November, 2004
NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55 (1) and (12) of the Constitution, it is hereby proclaimed as follows:
