WHEREAS, the Protocol Against the Illicit Manufacturing of and Trafficking in Firearms their Parts and Components and Ammunition has been adopted by the United Nations General Assembly pursuant to its Resolution No. 55/255 of 31 May 2001;

WHEREAS, the House of Peoples’ Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified said Protocol at its session held on the 29th day of March, 2012;

NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55 (1) and (12) of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, it is hereby proclaimed as follows:
