WHEREAS, the Court Fee Rule of 1952, has remained enforceable in Federal Courts until now without any amendments, despite the fact that various issues are not covered by this rule and there is a need for the determination of a court fee Regulation that takes in to account the current situation and time; WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary to charge a court fee commensurate with the current standard of judicial service delivered by the Federal Courts;
WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary to enact this regulation in order to modernize the court fee payment system and make it shorter, more efficient, and more convenient for the payer; NOW, THEREFORE, the House of Peoples’ Representatives Proclaimed the Federal Courts Court Fee Regulation in accordance with Article 55 (1) of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and Federal Courts Proclamation No. 1234/2021 as follows:
