WHEREAS, it is necessary to ratify the Protocol Relating to the Madrid Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Marks which was adopted on June 27, 1989 to protect trade and service marks at the international level;

WHEREAS, the protocol provides appropriate guarantee for the protection of trademarks to member countries and helps prevent the entry of substandard products and technologies in our country;

WHEREAS, becoming member to the protocol supports the protection of trademarks of our handicraft products and helps producers and service providers get appropriate protection;
