Yosiad Abeje has been heading the Directorate General for Organized and Transnational Crime at the Federal Ministry of Justice since April 2015. Under his leadership, the department has been able to coordinate investigations and successfully prosecute crimes against the constitution and the constitutional order, attacks on the security and peaceful life of the people, terrorist crimes and transnational crime cases. Under his leadership the department was able to achieve better results by coordinating stakeholders.

Yosiyad began his career as a prosecutor in the Ministry of Justice and served as a judge at the Federal First Instance court from June 2008 to February 2012. After returning to the prosecutor’s office from his judicial career, he served as Deputy Director General of the Directorate General for Organized and Transnational Crime.

Using the experience he has gained over the past 12 years, Yosiyad is committed to preventing crimes against the country, its constitutional order and to combating organized crimes.
