WHEREAS, the Diredawa Administration has been led by a provisional Administration until the establishment of a council elected by the people in accordance with the charter;

WHEREAS, election has not yet taken place because of the failure to fulfill the precondition, which is necessary to undertake election for the establishment of the Administration council;

WHEREAS, it is necessary to avoid the administration vacuum prior to the expiry of the Provisional Administration’s term before election of the council took place;

NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with the provision of Article 55 (1) of the constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, it is hereby proclaimed as follows:
