WHEREAS, the Agreement on Cultural Cooperation between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Republic of Italy was signed in Rome on the 8th day of April, 1997;

WHEREAS, it is stipulated in the Agreement that the Agreement shall come into force sixty days from the exchange, in Addis Ababa, of instruments of ratification effected in compliance with the respective constitutional formalities of the Contracting Parties;

WHEREAS, the House of Peoples’ Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified said Agreement at its session held on the 5th day of March, 1998;

NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55 sub-Articles (1) and (12) of the Constitution, it is hereby proclaimed as follows
