WHEREAS, the African Union Non-Aggression and Common Defense Pact has been adopted on the 31st day of January, 2005, at the 4th Session of the African Union Heads of State and Government Summit held in Abuja;

WHEREAS, the House of Peoples’ Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified said Pact at its session held on the 21st day of January, 2014;

NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55(1) and (12) of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, it is hereby proclaimed as follows:
