Cherinet Hordofa Wetere has been serving as the State Minister for the Attorney General’s Division at the Ministry of Justice since January 26, 2026. Prior to this position, Chernet served for over 27 years as a judge, university lecturer, researcher, member of the Council of Constitutional Inquiry of the FDRE, and as an attorney at the Federal Court.
