WHEREAS, the Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons Especially Women and Children has been adopted by the United Nations General Assembly pursuant to its Resolution No. 55/25 of 15 November 2000;

WHEREAS, the House of Peoples’ Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified said Protocol at its session held on the 29th day of March, 2012;

NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55 (1) and (12) of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, it is hereby proclaimed as follows:
