WHEREAS, to replace the Agreement Establishing the Inter-Governmental Authority on Development dated 21st March 1996 to widen and deepen cooperation to achieve sustainable
development;

WHEREAS, the Revised Agreement Establishing the Inter-Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD) was signed in Djibouti on the 19th Day of June 2023;

WHEREAS, the House of Peoples’ Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified t he Agreement at its session held on 18th Day of April, 2024;

NOW, THERERORE, in accordance with Article 55 (1) and (12) of the constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, it is hereby proclaimed as follows.
