WHEREAS, broadcasting service plays a big role in the political, economic, and social development of the country by providing information, education, and entertainment programs to the public;
WHEREAS, it is essential to ensure proper utilization of the limited radio wave wealth of the country;
WHEREAS, it has been found essential to clearly define the rights and obligations of persons who undertake broadcasting service;
NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, it is hereby proclaimed as follows:
