WHEREAS, it has become necessary to amend the Copyright and Neighboring Rights Protection Proclamation No. 410/2004 to provide legal protection that is compatible with an ever growing development of copyright and neighboring rights and to create conditions enabling the right holders to administer their rights in an organized and enhanced manner;

NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, it is hereby proclaimed as follows:
